We plant trees, restore forests and repair soils.
At CarbonTrees, we focus solely on nature-based climate change solutions. We replant previously harvested and damaged forests using 100% native species. We restore forests to a natural mature old-growth forest condition.
The first step to any reforestation or afforestation project is developing a scientific, evidenced-based silviculture plan.

We plant a diverse mix of tree species, other plants and grasses, while respecting the biodiversity conditions needed for animals, fungi and organisms to thrive. We do not plant monocultures or tree farms.

We plant trees with the growing space needed for them to develop and mature in to old-growth forests.

On harvested sites, we welcome the trees and plants that remain and plant trees to ensure maximum carbon sequestration.

    Massimo Bottura is one of the world’s leading voices on Food Security and Sustainability. In 2020, Chef Massimo was appointed as a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador (UNEP) for his commitment against food waste and social isolation. Massimo championed a calling for social responsibility among the culinary community. Later in 2020, Massimo was awarded with the first ever Green Michelin Star.
